Monika Gaggia studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, with Prof. Wilfried Tachezi and at the Conservatoire Européen in Paris with Prof. Radu Aldulescu. She completed her studies in Salzburg in the summer of 2001 obtaining a Master's Degree in Performing Arts. During recent years she has participated in courses offered by R. Aldulescu and H. Shapiro. Additionally, she has attended chamber music courses given by members of the Hagen Quartet and by Jürgen Geise. Monika Gaggia keeps a very busy chamber music concert schedule performing with pianist José-Daniel Martínez, harpsichordist Michele Gaggia, and with the "Salonmusik" group "Saitensprünge". Performances in many parts of Europe are proof of her extended musical experience. Milestones in her young career have been engagements with the Catania Festival of New Music, the Rheingau Festival, and solo performances with the Philharmonischen Orchester Bad Reichenhall and the Euregio-Jugendorchester. She has made several radio program recordings for ORF (Austria) and several television presentations for ORF and ZDF (Germany). Ms. Gaggia has taught at the Musikschulen Bad Reichenhall and Mühldorf since 1998.
